I had a mangled right leg. Woke up in hospital with a big black arrow on my broken leg. Glad they identified the bust one haha
I know I’m late but daaaaaaang this man is STYLISH! 😮💨
This doctor could operate on anyone without being under. His voice alone would calm the patient.
For forbid the bugs 🐜 in my mouth get out
The Good Doctor almost makes everything dramatic than it should be, the dramatic parts should be in every dialogue not in the operation.

Alright weirdos I found another YT video of him "A day in the life of a cardiac surgeon" at the RW JBarnabas Health Channel. Enjoy 😉

What happens if a patient passes gas during a surgery? Do the doctors stop until they can get everything sterile again?
I had 2 surgeries in 2 different countries and can confirm that the timeout procedure is basically the same. Small curiosity: when I had my second surgery, I warned the hospital team that I was not an English native speaker, they got me an anesthesiologist that spoke some Spanish (closest they had to my mother language 🤷🏻♀️) and made sure that he could understand what I said in case I reverted after anesthesia 😅
The "time out" is after anaesthesia but before the skin incision so the scene was actually accurate though, like he mentioned, no one says out their names loud and already know each other.
I want to be his patient 😂 But im quite disappointed with GQ choice of scenes him to review since some of them are just comedies & werent meant to be realistic. There are tonnes of other interesting surgical scenes fron “Grey’s Anatomy” or “House” that they can pick
This guy is awesome! He sounds like an Asian James Earl Jones
This guy looks like and sounds like he could be Mike Glovers dad
I don't know anything about him, but I can tell he is a professional.

Slightly off topic but this makes me think of a time in nursing school that I was observing a coronary angiography when iPhones first came out. The doctor’s phone went off and he asked me to check it because I wasn’t scrubbed in but I had never used an iPhone before and couldn’t figure out that you had to press and slide the on-screen button. The doctor got really frustrated with me and I felt like such an idiot!
He really does look like a competent person
Interesting. Since he doesn't touch his face, would he have a worker in there with the specific duty to wipe sweat and scratch itches and stuff like that.

Shame that he only reviewed about less attractive topic in The Good Doctor, I was hoping he would say anything about the Fractured episode when a broken leg patient refused using drugs during surgery. That was a scary episode.

Hi.😊😊 I have never met you, we will probably never meet. But you've found my comment, among all these thousands. If you are seeing this comment then take this as your sign that things will get better, that things will be alright, that you can get through this. Whatever troubles bring you here, or if you're simply here for the sake of relaxing, remember that you are important, you are valid, and that you have a right to be here. You are braver and stronger than you think. You're still here, trying to make things better and to live a better life. So whatever is keeping you up at night, it is not stronger than you. You can get through this. I don't know you, you can dismiss this as the meaningless words of a stranger, or you can believe me. Whatever you chose, I believe in you. Hey, stop scrolling. 💓💓💓💓💓Put your hand over your heart. Take a deep breath. Feeling better, yes? It was a tough day but hey you made it, tomorrow will be a new one. Keep fighting :)

If I had him as my dr, I'd fully trust in everything he said. Unfortunately, my doctors don't all sound this competent & the ones that DO, tend to forget everything vital that I told them (or gave them ie records) in my prior visits. It's incredibly frustrating when you have Lupus & Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I wish I had someone like him. Great video! Job well-done! Edited to add: What I especially love about my doctors is they all say not to use WebMD. Meanwhile, I've seen ALL of them (even doctors in the ER) use it. 😅🙈
@Erica Polo man i feel bad for your experience with the rotten apples :( i get the frustration with doctors misdiagnosing or not even trying sometimes, i really wonder how they get on with the profession when they refuse to give 100% of their efforts to their patients. hoping you get better doctors and health professionals in the future! 😔❤️
@gudetama enthusiast Definitely makes sense. Thank you! It just makes me a little hesitant when I'd see doctors use it, bc I felt like they should know. Although, my dad once said, "They don't call it a 'practice' for nothing! If they knew everything, it wouldn't be called that." I've had plenty of bad experiences w/doctors. I've also had doctors admit when they don't know what's going on, bc I have a "medical mystery" tied w/my Lupus, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, & a few other issues. I actually appreciate when a doctor admits they don't know vs one acting like they know when they don't. It's been a crazy experience w/numerous doctors, but I'm beyond grateful to all health-care professionals. Especially those that have saved my life (a few times). I've often felt that nurses have a better bedside manner & are certainly more attentive. It's just frustrating to not know what's causing specific issues. I've seen about 20 specialists & NONE can figure out what's going on or even how it's possible. It's frustrating. Sorry. Didn't mean to give such a lengthy response. 😅🙈
hey! with regards to the WebMD one, we tell patients not to use it because it tends to worsen health anxiety instead of alleviating to it. being exposed to all sorts of diseases when you have a mere headache doesn’t help because patients tend to panic or assume so fast. meanwhile, doctors who know what set of symptoms would cause a disease sometimes use websites or apps like this more responsibly because you’re more aware of the manifestations of the diff diseases on the patient. it’s kinda similar to scanning a book for possible diagnosis.
more of Dr. Lee please and thank you
He lost my respect when he said they would give up on someone based on their age.. I’m sorry but if my grandma passed away I want you to try your hardest
